Somewhere between two and four million dogs are consumed in South Korea every year, but the slaughtering and processing is carried out in dirty environments and poses a risks to diners’ health. In Apr 2008, the Seoul government has proposed reclassifying dogs as livestock so it can set food safety standards. Remind me not to have any South Korean street stir fry!

If the recent mass recalls of tainted ground beef in our own *human* foods is any indication, we still need to be wary of tainted pet food. The rules and regulations regarding oversight on pet foods are largely just suggestions. Make sure that what you’re feeding your pet is of high quality. Maybe the best alternative is cooking up your own?

When buying toys for your pets, make sure that there are not parts that can get dislodged or bitten off. Your pet will **SURELY** swallow what ever it was chewing.
