Talk about a dedication to animals. These park rangers risk their lives and their family’s lives in order to keep the gorrilla population in the Virunga National Park safe. They fight a losing battle now as militias, rebels and poachers have over-run the interior of the preserve. Let’s pray for the lives of these guys and the lives of the gorillas. Not all of these aquariums are huge but they certainly are cool. Let’s take a look around the house and see if we can’t fit a few whale sharks in our own fish tanks!

Not everyone in the US Army is pumping the terrorists full of lead in Iraq. Some of our soldiers are restoring a normal life to the human and animal members of Iraq by rebuilding the Baghdad Zoo. This is a story that isn’t widely known or reported on. There will be a movie about the zoo restoration that was actually started by an independent South African conservationist named, Lawrence Anthony. He sneaked into the zoo early on in the war and enlisted the help of the Army to defend and rebuild it. Fascinating story.

When buying toys for your pets, make sure that there are not parts that can get dislodged or bitten off. Your pet will **SURELY** swallow what ever it was chewing. That’s what it wanted to do in the first place right? This is good advice especially for squeaky toys. If your dog loves the squeaker, you know it will do what ever it needs to do to get to that thing and swallow it.
